“I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say at a Gas Station?”
Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track. If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13. These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations onto the Gospel track. Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc. To help pull them in, after the “…”, there is an invitation to be saved.
Car Door - As we stand here talking by my car door, I am reminded of what Jesus said in John 10: 9. He said, “I Am the door. By Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved.” … Jesus Christ is the most important door that one could ever walk through. Also our heart is a door that we can open and close allowing what we want to enter in and out of it. In Rev. 3:20 Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door (of your heart), and knock; if any man hear My voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and He with me.” If any man enters in through Jesus Christ, then they shall be spend eternity with Him in heaven….Have you ever opened the door of your heart to allow Jesus Christ to come in?
Coffee – I drink coffee everyday, but the black color sure does remind me of sin. I am so glad it says in Romans 14:17 that the Kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. So God is not looking at my coffee. He is looking at my heart to see whether I am born again or not ….Have you ever prayed to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord?
Gas Pump - As I fill up this gas tank, I was just thinking about how important it is to be filled up with the Spirit of God because this gas will last maybe a week, but getting filled up with the Holy Spirit will last for all eternity. ….Would you like to pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so that you can be filled with His Spirit? Acts 19:6High Gas Prices – This gas is getting so expensive. It is a good thing that you cannot get to heaven through driving your car. I would not have enough money! So I am so thankful that salvation is a free gift by grace through having faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. You just pray “a salvation prayer” and then you will have a free ride to heaven when you die….So would you like to pray?
Lottery Ticket – I know a sure bet. If you want to go to heaven when you die, a sure bet is receiving Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Then you will definitely go to heaven. So you have nothing to lose …Would you like to pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior? Acts 4:12; John 3:16
Newspaper – The stories in the newspaper are so depressing, but have you heard the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ?….His salvation is a free gift. His love endures forever. His mercies are new every morning and great is His faithfulness...Have you ever received Jesus as your Lord and Savior? Eph. 3:17; Lam. 3:22
Quik Trip – When Jesus comes again, it will be a quick trip! … Are you ready? If they don’t understand, explain: I am talking about the rapture, which is when Jesus Christ will come again and take all the Christians with Him up to heaven. It says in 1 Corin. 15:52: “It will all happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, when the last trumpet in the sky is blown……So is Jesus your Lord and Savior?
Salvation Prayer: “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
