IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII“I "I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say at the Gym?"
Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track. If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13. These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations onto the Gospel track. Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc. To help pull them in, after the “…”, there is an invitation to be saved.
Lifting Weights – Lifting this barbell or weight reminds me of how Jesus Christ must have felt in lifting that heavy wooden cross on His back as He walked up to Mount Calvary where they crucified Him….but His pain was my gain. You see, my sins separated me from God. But when Jesus shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins, He lifted the heavy weight of my sins off of me so I could be reconciled to God and receive eternal life. Even though Jesus suffered a lot, He had joy because He knew that if He died, then multitudes of people could live and receive eternal life. I am so thankful for what He did that I received Him as my Lord and Savior ….Have you ever received Him as your Lord and Savior?
Running – Running or jogging reminds me of Heb. 12:1: “Let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith.”…God has a race for all of us to run. God has given each person a unique plan and purpose for their lives, but the only way you can begin finding His plan and purpose is through praying to receive Jesus as Lord. Jeer. 29:11
Sit-Ups - Sit-ups remind me of God’s resurrection power…God sent His Son Jesus Christ, Who shed His blood and died on the cross for my sins. Then God made Jesus to do the ultimate sit up. God raised him up from the dead! ….Do you want His resurrection strength in your life? Then pray after me this salvation prayer to receive Jesus as your Lord.Steroids – You know what is better than even steroids? God’sstrength. Isaiah 10:27 that “His anointing breaks the yoke” So His anointing breaks the devil’s power in our lives. Then we become so much stronger in the Lord ‘cause His strength over- comes our weaknesses…Best of all, when you give Him your heart, He’ll give you eternal life.
Walking – I like walking because it keeps me fit, but sometimes I get tired. But it says in Isaiah 40:31, “Those that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall run and not grow weary and they shall walkand not be faint.” My relationship with God is also called “my walk with God.”…. I used to walk aimlessly through life with no purpose, no direction, no hope and no eternal life. Then I stumbled and fell and realized that I needed a Savior to walk with me through my life. So I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior who died on the cross for my sins. Now I walk with Him and He walks with me and since I walk with God, I have eternal life. How about you? How is your walk? Are you walking with God?
Water – After that hard work out, this water is so refreshing to my body. It reminds me of the living water that is so refreshing to my spirit. After I drink this water, I will thirst again, but because I received the Living Water, who is Jesus Christ, as my Savior, I will never thirst again because now I have eternal life…So have you received this living water? Would you like to pray? John 4:14
Salvation Prayer: “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
