Testimonies of Witnessing with TRAIN TRACTS
I give God all the glory for these testimonies. It is only Him who shows me what to say. I just listen and obey!
One teenage guy I talked to at Subway. I said, “That subway sandwich reminds me of the fact that Jesus Christ is the WAY, the truth, and the life. Did you know that Jesus died on the cross and was the perfect SUBstitute for your sins? Is Jesus your subway?” As I talked with him a little more, he got convicted and prayed with me to receive Christ. I will never forget this guy because he had just gotten his tongue pierced that day and his tongue was still swollen from it and so he had to talk very carefully and his speech was slurred, but he did pray the prayer of salvation with me and received Jesus Christ as His Savior! Hallelujah! Praise God! See restaurant train tract.
A couple of teenage guys, Lance and Nicholas, ages 12 and 16, both got born again in front of the GAP clothes store. I said, “You know, that GAP reminds me of the fact that God Answers Prayer. Have you ever thought of that?” They were dumbfounded. I talked to them a little bit about prayer. Then I asked them if they knew Jesus as their Savior. Then they got convicted and agreed to pray a prayer to receive Jesus as their Lord. Then when I asked them about it, they also prayed to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. They immediately started talking in tongues. Everything went so smoothly with them. It was so easy. Praise God! Hallelujah! I felt like “the laborer” that their Mama was praying for. See Mall train tract.
I spent a lot of time calling tech support when building this website. This one guy from the Phillippines got saved. I told him about how God is like the world wide web, but with clean holy websites. He laughed and to get online, you have to go through an ISP. He agreed. Well to get to God, you have to go through Jesus Christ who is like the ISP. because He is the one who paid the penalty for our sins. You see, there is no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood. Jesus Christ shed His holy perfect blood on the cross for the sins of the world and then He rose from the dead. Now whoever believes this and prays to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will have eternal life in heaven. He was helping me transfer files from one folder to another. I said, you see when you pray to receive Jesus as your Lord, your spirit will be transferred from one Kingdom to another, just like you are transferring these files now, from the Kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Light or the Kingdom of God. He used to be a Hindu, but he prayed the salvation prayer after me and became a Christian! He said he knew some Christians and he knew of a church he could go to. It sounds like someone else planted some seeds and I was the one God used to harvest. Praise God! I give Him all the glory. See Computer Tract.
I was in the Insurance office talking to my agent named John. I hardly ever talked to him, but that day I went because I had a question. When I realized that he was 40 and he was still not born again, I told him that the best insurance for eternal life was to receive Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior. He said he knew about the Lord, but never went to church. I knew he liked football, so I said the best turnover of all is when you turn your life over to Jesus Christ. I felt like this was a divine appointment, so I urged him to receive Jesus Christ as His Lord and to pray this salvation prayer after me. He told me he never had anyone witness to him before and agreed to pray the prayer. A week later he told me that after he prayed that prayer, he felt like he was on cloud nine. He felt so different. He had joy and a peace he has never had before. I told him that's because his spirit has been transferred from the Kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of light. He is going to a Methodist church now. See Football tract
I witnessed every week to a dark-skinned man who owned a convenience store within the mall who believed that he was already saved though works and had not prayed to receive Christ as His Lord & Savior. Knowing what he thought and since he was a storeowner, I focused on the obvious - buying and selling. I said to him: "The reason why you cannot buy salvation through good worksis because people do not have equal abilities to do good works. So that is not fair to achieve salvation through good works. God is fair and He is just. You see, people have different gifts and talents, different levels of intelligence, different levels of athletic ability and come from different socio-economic backgrounds. But no matter what, God knows that everyone has the ability to believe whatever they choose. So when a person chooses to believe in and receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior - that He died on the cross for their sins and rose from the dead - then they shall receive this free gift of eternal life." See Grocery Store train tract. He was still hesitating, so I went on: "I know that you stumble over the fact that “salvation is free” and that there are no works involved to obtain it, but let me tell you something. After you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord, following Christ and wholeheartedly obeying Him will cost you everything. There are things that He will ask you to give up in order to serve Him...” So after planting several seeds, he finally got it and prayed a salvation prayer to ask Jesus Christ to be His Lord and Savior! Praise God! Hallelujah! Then a few weeks later, his store moved out of the mall and I haven’t seen him since.
One time I witnessed to a four children, ranging in ages from eight to thirteen. I really thought were Catholic because they told me that they thought that you were saved by works. The grand father who was watching them while their mother was away shopping, did not speak any English. But the children all did. I started off by saying that Jesus loves the little children. Jesus said, “Let the children come to me, for of such is the Kingdom of God (Matt. 19:14).” We were at the food court and they asked me to sit down. It was a divine appointment. Then I explained the whole Gospel to them in about ten minutes. They even asked questions and I answered them. Then they all prayed a prayer of salvation with me! Praise God! Hallelujah! I was rejoicing! I gave them little books about their “New Life” in Christ and got their names and address to follow up as well. Then the mother came a little later and I saw a red dot on her head. When I asked her about her own faith, she told me she was a Hindu. I was so surprised to hear that…then I realized that her children were all Hindus! See Park train tract.
For example, one man I ministered to at a gas station called Quik Trip. I told him, “When Jesus comes again, it will be a quick trip.” He was convicted and looked down. He said that he was from Indiana, but he was here in Tulsa for a motorcycle dirt bike race and he knew that he needed divine protection. He ashamedly said that he knew the Gospel, but had never asked Jesus Christ to come into his heart. Then he repented of that and prayed with me. He got saved! Hallelujah! Praise God! So that night he finally received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior! I was so happy! I knew that the angels in heaven were rejoicing too. See Gas Station train tract.
Another guy got saved at Quik Trip using this same technique...He looked like he was in his mid-30's. He said he could not read. So I told him about the Gospel and asked him if he wanted to receive Jesus as His Lord. I read the salvation prayer to him and asked him to repeat after me. He did and got gloriously saved!
Another guy I witnessed to at this park where I like to go running was wearing a Carolina blue UNC baseball hat. He was seventeen. I said: "I like your hat! I love the University of North Carolina. I graduated from there in 1992. It reminds me of home. I moved to Tulsa in 1993 to go to RHEMA Bible Training Center..." So saying that I moved to Tulsa to go to Bible school got me onto the Gospel track. Then I said, "I learned a lot of things at Bible School. One thing I learned is that a lot of people have heard the Gospel and they know it, but they have never prayed to really make a commitment to make Jesus Christ their Lord and really live for Him. " As we talked, I realized that he was one of those! He knew the Gospel, but had never prayed that salvation prayer. So that day, he repeated a salvation prayer after me and got saved! Praise God! Hallelujah! Then said he was going to go to church next Sunday. See High School/College train tract
One guy I witnessed to during my lunch break at 2:15am. I work the third shift at Oral Roberts Ministries as a prayer partner and I went around the corner to Quik Trip and popped my hood because my car was running hot. This guy named Jason put some coolant in for me. I was so thankful for this favor and for his kindness. I was in a hurry so I quickly said, "Thank you so much for doing me this favor and for helping me! You are so nice that I want you to go to heaven! Do you know how much Jesus loves you? Have you ever prayed and asked him to be your Lord and Savior?" Jason was in his early twenties and he looked like he was saved because he was clean cut, etc, but God looks on the heart. He said he had never really been to church and had never prayed a salvation prayer. I could barely believe it. So I quickly told him the four spiritual laws. He thoughtfully listened like he was hearing them for the first time. Then I asked him if he would like to pray a salvation prayer. He hesitated, but then I said: "Look, I have to go. I am on my lunch break and I work at ORU, but I believe that this is a divine appointment and I don't know if I will ever see you again. Are you sure you don't want to pray?" He looked around and saw that no one was watching and then he said, "Sure." So then he repeated a salvation prayer after me!! Praise God! Hallelujah! He got saved! Then I encouraged him to go to church on Sunday. "There are churches everywhere in Tulsa," I said. He laughed and said, "Yeah, I know!" Then he smiled and he thanked me. I drove back to work with such joy in my heart! You need joy in your life? Go get some people saved! So when anyone does you a favor, you can use this technique for witnessing! See Auto Repair Train Tract.
My garage door wasn't working, so I had to call customer service. The man who helped me was a nice guy who had an Asian accent. He told me he was originally from Japan. I told him about how Jesus Christ is the door to eternal life. He is the most important door you can ever go through. I explained the Gospel to him. He had never really heard it explained to him before. He agreed to pray a salvation prayer after me. Praise God! I give him all the glory. See Gas Station Tract or Junior High Tract
Another guy I witnessed to was my mortgage broker named Greg who helped me refinance my house. I told him that the most important thing to me was my home for all eternity. I told him that I knew that I had a mansion being prepared for me up in heaven. He laughed and I asked him if he knew where his home would be for all eternity. He had been brought up Catholic, but did not go to church now. I urged him to pray a salvation prayer after me to make sure he had a home in heaven. He prayed a salvation prayer after me! He said he had joy and was so glad he prayed that prayer. So many know "about" Jesus, but have never prayed to make Him their Lord and Savior. That day he did. I encouraged him to go to church. There are So Many Christians in Tulsa, But What about in Your City?
So when I run into a Christian, then I just encourage them to witness and talk about Jesus. I encourage them to ask your unbelieving friends or family: "Do you know how much Jesus loves you?" Now that my website is up, I encourage them to witness and go to: www.traintracts.com
