   Plan of Salvation Using Grades

I used to believe that if I did a lot of good works and was a good person, then I would go to heaven because that is how the world thinks.  For example: Most of the time, if a person studies hard, then they will make an “A.”   If a person makes an “F”, it is like a huge sin. It makes our parents mad too.

I know that our sins, or our “F’s,” separate us from God.  (Romans 3:23)

According to the world’s standards, one would think that to be right with God or to achieve salvation, a person would have to be perfect and make straight A’s….But then I was so glad to find out that God does not think like the world does!

God knows that salvation “by works” or making straight A’s is not fair or not just because no one is perfect.  We all have sinned.  And it is not fair because God knows that people have different abilities to study and have varying intelligence levels.  Some cannot write well.  Some are just not good at math.  Some have ADD and some are handicapped.

God loves us so much that He set the standard for entering the Kingdom of God on a “Pass or Fail” system!  He gave us grace to make it easy on us.  There was a high price that God paid to give us this grace (Eph. 2:8-9).  He sent His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross shedding His blood for our sins – that means the B’s, the C’s, the D’s, & the F’s

(and anything else bad we have done).  Jesus Christ took those sins on the cross for us, so that we would be saved from “works” or the whole letter grade system.  Then He rose from the dead.

Those that receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, will have a personal relationship with God and will PASS receiving eternal life in heaven.  Those that choose not to receive Jesus as their Savior, will FAIL and go to hell.   That is the truth.  Under this new system, those that make straight A’s and choose not to receive Jesus as Lord, will still fail.         Romans 6:23;  John 3:16

For all of you students reading this that want to throw your books out the window now, you still need to study and try to make good grades because the Pass/Fail system only applies to salvation and eternal life begins when you die.  Making good grades will help you get into a good college or university so you can study and major in a field where you feel “called by God” where you will be fulfilled in working.   So pick up your schoolbooks (and your Bible as well) and start studying and do the best you can. That is all that God expects from you – to do your best.

Prayer to Receive Jesus Christ as Your Savior and Lord:

“Heavenly Father, I believe that You love me.  I believe that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for my sins – for the B’s, the C’s, the D’s and the F’s and any other sins that I have committed.  And I believe that Jesus rose from the dead.  Today I repent of my sins.  I choose to believe in and I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.  I choose to PASS and receive eternal life.  Thank you for forgiving me of all my sins and for giving me eternal life.   Holy Spirit, come into my life and fill me to overflowing.   In Jesus’ name I pray, A-men.”
