Plan of Salvation Using Coffee

This is good for coffee drinkers at any coffee shop or or café:
"As I drink my coffee and reflect on how it is made or created, it reminds me of how a person can be reconciled to God.  There is such an amazing analogy here:    In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.  Then God made Adam from “the dust of the ground” it says in Genesis 2:7 and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life.  God said it was not good for man to be alone, so He made Eve from Adams’ rib.   I could be wrong, but I believe that Adam and Eve drank coffee in the Garden.  When they sinned against God through disobeying Him and eating the forbidden fruit, they were kicked out of the garden and no one for years and years and years had any more coffee to drink. Frown
In keeping with this analogy, God is the Maker of the heavens and the earth & He is also the Coffee Maker.
Since man was formed by “the dust of the earth,” we humans are all like coffee grinds in a way.  In Psalm 103:14 even David proclaimed to God:  “He remembers that we are dust.”  Just like Adam and Eve, we have all sinned and our sin separates us from God. Cry

Then something amazing happened about 2013 years ago.  God, the Coffee Maker, loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus Christ, to be the Savior of the world, born of the Virgin Mary. He healed many people, did miracles, and taught His 12 disciples. Then in God’s timing, Jesus obeyed God saying: “Not my will, but Yours be done” and died on the cross shedding His holy blood to pay the price for our sins so that we could be reconciled to God.  Then God raised Him from the dead.  Jesus is called “the bridge” or the mediator between God and man.  He also became the Savior of the coffee grinds. Laughing

In John 4:10, Jesus Christ refers to Himself as the Living Water.   Jesus said in John 4:14  “whosoever drinks of the water that I give him will never thirst again.”  This Living Water symbolizes the eternal spirit of God that never stops flowing and it comes into a person’s heart when they receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Then they will be reconciled to God becoming “a new creation” and will receive eternal life. 2 Corin. 5:17                                           In this analogy, when the coffee grinds ask the Living Water to come into their heart to be their Savior, then they will be reconciled to the Coffee Maker.  Then the Coffee Maker is turned “on” and the coffee grinds receive the Living Water flowing through them and they become a new creation of fresh-brewed coffee.  Jesus Christ, the Living Water, paid the price for our sins so that we could have coffee once again… and also have free refills for all eternity!!  (Eph. 2:8-9).
I’ll bet you never thought of coffee in that way before…So have you ever asked Jesus Christ, the Living Water, to come into your heart to be your Savior so that you can become a new creation and receive eternal life? …If not, you can pray this salvation prayer with me:    Salvation Prayer:  “Heavenly Father, I believe that You love me.  I believe that You sent Your Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross shedding His blood for my sins –all the wrong things I have done.  And I believe that Jesus rose from the dead.  Today I repent of my sins.  I choose to believe in and I receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.   Thank you for forgiving me of all my sins and for giving me eternal life in heaven.  Holy Spirit, come into my life and fill me to overflowing. Lord, help me to make the right choices in my life - to read my Bible and to pray and go to church and make Christian friends.  Help me to live for You…And thanks for the coffee.    In Jesus’ name I pray, A-men.”
