“I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say at the Office?”
Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track. If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13. These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations at the office onto the Gospel track. Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc. To help pull them in, after the “…”, there is an invitation to be saved.
Cell phone – As I make this call to my friend for advice, I am reminded of my shortcomings that I really need to call on God. He is the One that has the answers and Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. call upon the Lord shall have eternal life….Have you ever called upon Jesus Christ to be your Lord? Proverbs 18:24; Rom. 10:9-10
Copier – As I make this copy, it reminds me of how Christians are called to copy Christ, to follow Him in doing what He says and what He does…Do you know how much He loves you? So have you ever asked Jesus to be your Lord?
Door – As I stand here waiting, I am reminded of what Jesus said in John 10: 9. He said, “I Am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved.”…. Jesus is the most important door that we could ever walk through because it leads to eternal life in heaven. Have you ever opened the door of your heart to allow Jesus Christ to come in?
Highlighter – As I use this yellow highlighter, it reminds me of the One who is the Most High and is the lights of the world. Jesus is the highlighter of my life…Do you know how much He loves you? So is Jesus Christ the highlighter of your life as well? If not, I can pray a salvation prayer with you.Internet - Getting online reminds me of how an unbeliever can be reconciled to God or born-again. Imagine the World Wide Web as Father God, then the Internet Service Provider (ISP) is none other than Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14:6) and there is no way to the Father without Jesus Christ. When a person receives Jesus as their Lord and Savior, it causes them to be online with God for all eternity….So, are you online with God? If not, I can help you get connected. C’mon, pray with me.
Salvation Prayer: “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
