“I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say at a Restaurant?”
Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track. If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13. These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations onto the Gospel track. Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc. To help pull them in, after the “…”, there is an invitation to be saved.
Bread - This bread reminds me of what Jesus said in Matt 4:4 that “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” He said that because Jesus Christ is the Word of God and so when we read it, then we are being spiritually fed. This is why Jesus says: “I Am the Bread of Life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry (John 6:35).” … So are you hungry for God? Is Jesus your Lord?
Door – As I pause here by this door, it reminds me of what Jesus said in John 10:9: “I Am the Door; Anyone who enters in through Me will be saved.”….Jesus is the most important door you’ll ever walk through…Have you ever opened the door of your heart to let Jesus Christ come in and be your Lord and Savior?
Fish – Eating this fish reminds me of what Jesus said: “Come, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matt. 4:19). Do you know how much Jesus loves you? …Is He your Lord?
Hamburger/Steak– This meat reminds me of what Jesus said: “My meat is to do the will of my Father” (John 4:34)… First of all, God’s will is for you to be saved.
Knife - This sharp knife reminds me of Hebrews 4:12, which says: “the Word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword.” It cuts away the devil’s lies. The truth is Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven….Is He your Lord?Salt & Pepper Shakers – These salt and pepper shakers remind me of the Kingdom of Light (salt) the Kingdom of Darkness (pepper). The Bible says in Matt. 24:29–31 that when Jesus comes again, the sun and the moon will be darkened, the stars will fall and the powers of the heavens shall be shakenjust like these salt and pepper shakers. Then Jesus Christ will come again in the clouds, the angels will gather all the Christians together and take them up to heaven. Those who refused to receive Jesus as their Lord will be left behind. L Jesus is coming soon. Is He your Lord?
Server/waiter –Thank you! Your excellent service reminds me of Jesus Christ. He came to earth to serve us through multiplying the loaves and fishes, turning the water into wine. Then He shed His blood and died on the cross for our sins so that we could be reconciled to God and receive eternal life Have you ever received Jesus as your Lord? ( please tip well.)
Sugar –This sugar reminds me of how sweet it is to trust in Jesus. Taste and see that the Lord is good (Ps. 34: 8)...So do you trust in Him?
Water with Lemon – Many do not understand the Baptism of Holy Spirit. Just imagine that the water is the Holy Spirit and lemon is you. First, you pray and ask God for Him to fill you and He baptizes you in the Holy Spirit: (Flip & dunk the lemon in the water with your spoon) You see, the lemon is baptized by the Holy Spirit and is filled to overflowing. Then the Holy Spirit will give you your prayer language (utterance). You cooperate with Him by boldly moving your tongue and lips. It helps to relax because you receive with your spirit, not your mind…So would you like to pray to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? Acts 1:8; 19:6; 1 Cor. 14:22Salvation Prayer: “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
