Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transiition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track.  If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13.  These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations onto the Gospel track.  Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc.  To help pull them in, after the “”, there is an invitation to be saved.

Dish Detergent –  As I use this detergent to wash these dishes, it reminds me of how thankful I am for the blood of Jesus Christ that washed my sins away and made me totally clean and forgiven and white as snow.  Isaiah 1:18

Window Cleaner – As I look through this window while cleaning it, it reminds me of how I cannot hide from God. My heart is like a window and He can see right through it.   But I’m not afraid when God points out my sins and my stains because I know that He loves me. So I just repent and ask Him to change me.  Then He makes me clean and clear again….So do you know how much Jesus loves you?

Mop – As I mop up the mess on this floor, I am so thankful that Jesus took His cross and mopped up the mess in my life. Now my mess has become my message.  I am saved by His blood.  I am free and healed and complete in Christ….So have you ever been messed up and just needed a clean up?

Oven Cleaner – It is so amazing how a white foam can get all the black grease and grime off of my oven to make it clean again.  I guess it should not surprise me because Jesus’ red blood that He shed on the cross got all the black sinful stains out of my heart and made it white and clean again!

Trash – As I take out the trash, I am so thankful that God took all the trash out of my heart – I mean the bitterness, the rejection, the pride and the lust out of my heart.  We all have trash. When I asked God to forgive me for mine, He forgave me and took the trash out, so that I could be in right standing with God and go to heaven….So is your trash still on the inside or has God taken it out ?

  -  As I use this vacuum to vacuum up the dust and the dirt, it reminds me of how when I confess my sins, God is faithful to forgive me of my dirty sins just like this vacuum. He just sucks up my sins and He remembers them no more!  So are your sins in the vacuum or are they still on the floor?

Shoe Polish – As I shine my shoes, it reminds me of Isaiah 52:7, “Oh how beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”  In order to appreciate the Good News, first you have to know the bad news.  The bad news is that God hates sin and you are a sinner (just like me) and the punishment for your sin is that you are going to hell unless God forgives you of your sins, but there is no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood.   Now that’s bad news, isn’t it?  The Good News is – God sent His Son Jesus Christ into the world who willingly went to the cross and shed His holy blood for the sins of the world to reconcile us back to God.  Whoever believes and prays to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior will have their sins forgiven and will receive eternal life in heaven.

Wood polish – As I spray this to make the wood shine brighter, it reminds me of the wooden cross that Jesus died on.  Isaiah 60:1 says “Arise and shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”  …. So are you shining for Jesus?

Dish Rag – This dish rag reminds me of Isaiah 64:6: “my self- righteousness is as filthy rags.”  My good works will not cause me to be right with God. Only the blood of Jesus will.

Salvation Prayer:  “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead.  I repent of my sins.  Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior.   Fill me with the Holy Spirit.  Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
