“I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say in High School & College?”
Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track. If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13. These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations onto the Gospel track. Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc. To help pull them in, after the “…”, there is an invitation to be saved.
Book – a thick book – Our life here on earth is like the first one or two pages on this very thick book. Eternity is like the whole rest of the book. It is a very long time to be spent in the wrong place…Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord? Isaiah 57:15-19
Exam – As I take this exam,I am thankful that I am a Christian because I have the Holy Spirit, Who is my divine helper, on the inside of me and “He brings all things back to my remembrance.” Do you need some help on this exam?...Would you like to pray to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord? He will help you. John 14:25-26
Greek Letters – Those Greek letters mean you must be in a sorority (or a fraternity to a guy). It reminds me of the Greek letters – Alpha and Omega. It says in Rev. 1:8 that God is the Alpha and the Omega. He knows the beginning and the end. So we can put our trust in God that His plan is the best plan…Have you ever put your trust in God to receive His Son Jesus as Lord?
Locker Door - I’m glad that I remember the combination to open up this locker because it keeps all my books in it, but the Bible is the most important book of all. The Bible unlocks the mysteries to eternal life… Jesus Christ said in John 10: 9: “I Am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved.” So Jesus Christ is the most important door you will ever walk through.Paper – Did you know that paper is really made out of wood? They take the wood and then grind it to a pulp. Once the wood pulp has been treated, washed, bleached and beaten, it becomes paper. This whole process reminds me of Jesus Christ…He was treated badly and then beaten to a pulp with a whip 39 times, then died on a wooden cross, but now we have eternal life if we believe in Him. And His Gospel is written on this paper – in which they have so much in common.
Pen - You need a pen to write words, so the pen must have been created before the words, right? But in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God because Jesus Christ is The Word. All things were created through Him. So the Word created the pens that wrote the words! …Have you ever prayed the words to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior? John 1:1-3
Problem – This math problem reminds me of the worst problem of all. It is that sin problem. Sins like alcohol, drugs, pre-marital sex or homosexuality all separate us from God. If we are separated from Him, then we cannot have eternal life and we will all go to hell, which is the most fiery problematic place of all! But God sent His Son Jesus Christ as the Answer to the sin problem. There is no forgiveness of sins without the shedding of blood. So Jesus shed His holy blood and paid the price on the cross for our sins, so that we could be forgiven and reconciled to God and go to heaven. When anyone admits that they have a sin problem, asks for forgiveness and repents and prays to receive Jesus as Lord, then they will go to heaven. John 3:16; Rom. 6:23; Rom 10:9-10; Matt. 6:14Salvation Prayer: “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
