“I Want to Witness, But What Do I Say at the Mall?”
Many times the hardest part about witnessing is the transition from an everyday conversation onto the Gospel track. If you do not know how to do this, you will not be witnessing at all. One way to turn the conversation it is through relating the Gospel to objects around you like Jesus did many times in Matthew 13. These object evangelism icebreakers will train you how to turn conversations onto the Gospel track. Jesus is coming soon, so use loving boldness and be compassionate. Then be led by the Spirit using whatever method. You may prophesy or pray for healing, etc. To help pull them in, after the “…”, there is an invitation to be saved.
Blouse – That blouse is so colorful and shiny. The glitter on it reminds me of a “the garment of praise.” In Isaiah 61:3 God said that to console those who mourn, He will give them “beauty for ashes, the oil of joy and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.” During sad times, I am so thankful for His love. To put on that garment of praise, a person has to receive Jesus as their Lord….Have you prayed a salvation prayer?
Candle - This candle reminds me of Jesus Christ, who is the light of the world. He said, “He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”…Is the light of Jesus Christ burning in your heart? I can pray for His light to be turned on. John 8:14; 1 John 4:8
Mirror – Mirrors reminds me of the truth that Jesus Christ is the mirror image of the invisible God. Jesus came to earth to show us what God is like in heaven...Have you received Jesus as your Lord?
One Dollar Bill – When you look at the back of the one-dollar bill, have you noticed that pyramid with the eye on it? but I am not afraid of that little eye because I trust in God. I know that He is the One that is watching over me, the One who loves me, the One that made the sky and all of our eyes and He is called the El Shaddai – the one God who is more than enough -a lot more than this one dollar bill…So is Jesus your Lord and Savior?Perfume - Mmmm. I love the sweet fragrance of Red Door (made by Elizabeth Arden) Doesn’t it smell like heaven? It reminds me of the door to heaven, who I know is Jesus Christ that is stained red by His blood. He is the door that leads to eternal life…Have you prayed to ask Jesus to come into your heart?
Piercing - I see that you have a piercing(s). I was wondering, did you get your --- pierced to identify with Christ? Jesus was pierced when He died on the cross for my sins, reconciled me to God and saved me from hell. Jesus’ piercings saved my life. Have you made Jesus your Lord?
Purse - In my purse I hold precious things that I hold dear like my credit cards, my keys and my make up. It reminds me of my Bible, which is even more precious to me than my purse, because its pages hold the way to eternal life in heaven, and God’s peace, love and joy…So do you hold Jesus in your heart?
Rainbow Colored anything – I like that shirt! Whenever I see rainbow colors, it reminds me of how thankful I am for the rainbow because it is the symbol for the promise to Noah that God will never flood the whole earth again to judge it for man’s sin. I’m so thankful because there is so much sin in the world, God could flood this place right now! But I’m not afraid because I prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior…Have you? Gen. 9:11-15
Teddy Bear – This comforting soft teddy bear reminds me of the Holy Spirit. John 14:6 says: “I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter to be with you forever.” Do you know how much Jesus loves you?... He wants to comfort you. Let’s pray.Salvation Prayer: “Father, I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. I repent of my sins. Jesus, I ask You to forgive me and come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank You for saving me from hell and giving me eternal life in heaven, in Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
